sniff sniff from new zealand

hello!

i am writing a quick blog from new zealand while i still have some access to internet... i know if you read this today you will think my days are off, but actually its the 28th here.

just a quick word about new zealand: gorgeous! i love this place...it is so laid back and stunning here..i cannot even begin to describe it to you. the people are so kind and have the best accents. sodas are 'fuzzies' and napkins are 'serviettes' and sandals are 'jandals'. *grin* if it weren't so miserable to do 13 hour flights, i think we'd be tempted to take up permanent residence. shawn even suggested me jumping off a 60 ft bridge with him into the river so the baby could be born a new zealander! (naturally, he was kidding)

speaking of 13 hr flights...please please PLEASe pray for us as we travel. we have a 14 hr flight early in the morning from sydney, australia to johannsburg, south africa. that's after the three hours in the air to get from auckland to sydney. and then on the way home we are flying from south africa to amsterdam (11 hrs) off the plane 3 hours and then onto another 11 hr flight to seattle... i did pretty well on the flight out here, but i didn't get to walk as much as i should have and i was really swollen when we arrived. those of you who have been on flights that long know that swollen feet are normal, but when you are preggo the swelling lasts longer and is (potentially) more dangerous. so please pray that God will protect this little one and that he/she will get the proper amount of blood flow during those long hours of flying from continent to continent. i either am experiencing bad allergies here in new zealand or i picked up a cold on the plane, but pray with me tomorrow that the congestion will be lessened and my ears will be not aching during the flighs tomorrow.
