we had the ultrasound today at 2pm and i was SO nervous! but as soon as the techinician put that gooey stuff on my stomach and started working, i was just in awe. the little one's heart beat is great and it was going nuts the whole time! she had to measure all its bones, check the face for cleft palate, make sure the spinal chord was closed, check to see that all four chambers of the heart were present, look for 2 kidneys, and a myriad of other things. praise God! because everything was perfect... the little babe weighs 14oz. and is normal length...she had a hard time measuring all of the parts because the baby wanted to flip and twist and swim around.not to mention every time she got near its face, it shielded its eyes...we think it was sucking its thumb too for awhile...
oh, and i think its a boy. no elaboration. i am no sonogram tech, but i think its a boy.
i am enclosing a pic of the side view of the baby's face

Great news!!! Congrats, you two! What a beautiful profile!!! Seeing your baby makes the pregnancy more real, eh? (And hopefully the nausea more bearable...ok...NOT!) Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
Isn't that amazing?? My kids actually look like their ultrasound profile!! He or she is beautiful! Glad you're feeling more up, Kate!
