yeah...getting taken is about as fun as a root canal.
i actually think i would have prefered the root canal.... you get novacaine, for one....secondly, no emotional attachments, and it costs about the same. (well in our case anyway)
i am writing this blog as a warning... many of you have messaged asking about the beautiful pocket beagle...wanting to know prices and where to get them... If you are one of those people, keep reading...if not, you can pass this one up.
if you want a true pocket beagle, you can get one from us sometime in the spring, as Piper will have her first litter of puppies sometime in march-april. if you want one sooner, PLEASE email me and i will send you the websites of at least 3 ligimate breeders.
let me save you thousands of dollars we lost.
we got miss jetti and mr. madden in june from a breeder in indiana you should BLACKLIST! not only does the woman not keep the dogs on a farm as she states on her website, but she keeps many of them in tiny plastic crates all day long and all puppies for sale in a tiny pen on the floor (maybe 3x4 with 40+ puppies in it). if that wasn't bad enough, she is selling supposedly 'registered' dogs (the registry is not real) and she is claiming they are pocket beagles, when in fact she has crossbred them with weiner dogs to make them smaller.
she offered for us to send them back, but we just couldn't do it in good conscience. so madden will soon be going to live with a fmaily member who loves him...he will be adored and we will miss him, but we cannot breed him and fraudulently sell pups like this woman. jetti (who is all beagle, although not registered) will be bred with a registered pocket beagle. she is a stunning dog and although her pups won't be registered, they will be full blooded and gorgeous- a good option for people who don't want to spend $1,000 or more for a registered pocket beagle. (her pups will be half priced)
so anyway...PLEASE do not buy a pup from the grossly overpriced, misleading breeder in indiana who is claiming to have pocket beagles, but instead has poorly taken care of and bred mixed puppies.
we are replacing these two in the next month with two new beautiful REAL pocket beagles....be watching for pics.
our website for pocket beagles will be up and running soon too!
