time for a change

i changed my background and hope there are no more problems with viewing my posts.

and yes, i do know it says 'turned on' in the background. but there is a light bulb, peeps. context is key here. think when you see it 'is the light bulb in my mind turned on' ok?

PLEASE? cause i like the coloring and i don't want to have to change it.

oh yeah, i posted some new stuff. and more is coming. sorry for the delay.

much loves, kate

Thanks for the comment Kate. I love reading your blog and Shawn is, by far, my favorite musician! I went to a concert of his in Newberg, OR at George Fox University.
You have been on my mind and in my prayers as you are going through this time. I loved what you said a few weeks ago about God bringing beauty from ashes, so true!
I think your Cohen is adorable too. Even when you don't think being a mom could get any better, it does, it is the best job ever! I was just telling my Dad tonight how fun it is to appreciate all my kids for their different personalities and their ages. God made each of them unique, I love the creativity of our Lord.

Hi Kate! I stumbled upon your blog by accident tonight and I have enjoyed reading your blog so far. Cohen is so cute and as I have 3 children I understand your struggles with balancing your "mommy" time and "self" time. My husband is in the military and is away so I also understand being separated from your spouse and the struggles that come with that too. It's great that you are near family now and have their support and are away from this crazy Seattle rain :) (I am at Ft. Lewis, Wa). I look forward to more "adventures with Kate" hehe!

Hey Kate, I love the new background! And totally didn't think the "Turned On?" line was weird since it is sitting next to the lightbulb! (: Thanks for your comment, btw; I thought the title was unique when I thought of it, too, hehe. (: You can use it anytime! We could be Mommy-loguer #1 & #2...haha.
I enjoyed your post below; very intriguing. I'm going back to read it a second time. I hope you are doing well Kate. Would love to see more pictures of your sweet little guy when you have time (:

Kate,
Thanks for your comment on my blog. Did you blog about your trip to Africa? If so, when was it? I'd love to read about it.

Cohen is a cute little guy. He looks to be about the same age as my little boy (7 months).

Cool background. Reminds me of chocolate. Yum.

Yeah, Screwtape is a play! A highly successful, sold-out play, in fact. Pretty cool for a Christian play to be so successful in NYC. I'm seeing it tonight! I'll let you know how it is.

I like the new look!

Thanks for the encouraging comment. :) Coming from someone like you, I knew I had to keep going.

Once again, thank you!

I saw this background as well when I was looking for one and saw the "turned on" and it made me take a second thought, I had fear of others thoughts... so I'm guessing that's a good think that you mentioned the light bulb is right beside the words.

Okay. First of all, thank you for your comment on my blog. You have no idea how encouraging those simple words were to me. So thank you for that. And secondly, I hope you don't mind that I used your words when saying "I wish there was a pause button in life" I had once saw that in one of your blogs and its stuck with me ever sense.

And I like the new look Kate. For some reason brown seems to be my favorite color. :)

I wonder what in the world the problem is... I think everyone else is being able to see it... what are you using? safari? explorer?

I loved your science blog. I am not a science person, in fact I barely survived science in elementary school, much less all the science that came after that!

But now, I am starting to appreciate it. By default. My 9 year old is fascinated by science, and so.... I must be also.lol

YES! we have 2 beagles. They are my delight. And my headache. I wouldn't trade them for the world, but every so often, I wish I could put them in the closet. lol!! I have never seen a pocket beagle, though I have heard of them.

I so enjoyed your posts! I will surely be back. :)

I'm still having the same problem viewing it as well; I just do the same as before: refresh the screen and click the red X button (stop) so its stops loading and freezes teh page. I'm not sure what is happening ): I don't think its your background because I visited someone else's blog w/your previous b/g and I could see it. I'm sorry Kate!!! Hate to be the bearer of 'bad news'....but um, I love your blog!?! (;

Kate, I am definitely liking the new background. Oh, and, by the way, little Cohen is getting cuter and cuter with every picture you post!

Is the hubby still on the road? I grew up on the road (my dad was an evangelist)and I know it's not the cushiest life out there. My hubby was deployed for 14 months (tour to Iraq) and I remember so vividly how difficult it is when he was gone...thanks for your sacrifice in letting your man travel to do the work of the ministry.

God is good...all the time.

All~

I have problems seeing Kate's blog too, but if, once the page is done loading, you go to the archive and choose the current month, it refreshes to show you the latest blog. Atleast that worked for me. I have never gotten to see the very last blog in October though, for some reason it didn't work on that one...hope it helps!

Kate, are you staying in Ohio for awhile then? Living near your parents?
